Explore your future career

As our Community Builder for the UAE, you will take end-to-end ownership of building and scaling our local ecosystem of senior independent talent from the ground up. This is not a passive community-maintenance role; you will be directly responsible for identifying, onboarding, and engaging high-caliber independent consultants (e.g., ex-MBB, C-level independents) and connecting community initiatives directly to commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Ownership: Own and grow our UAE community of senior independent consultants without relying on a pre-existing playbook.
  • Event Strategy & Execution: Concept, run, and follow up on 6–8 targeted events per year designed to drive engagement, retain top profiles, and deliver measurable ROI to our commercial team.
  • Value & Retention: Build genuine, trust-based relationships with top freelancers, demonstrating Malt’s unique market ambition and long-term vision beyond just company culture.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with local Sales and Account Management teams to align freelancer activation directly with pipeline demand and execute targeted community initiatives that directly supply qualified profiles to meet business needs.
  • Ecosystem Partnerships & Execution: Establish operational contacts with key local actors (Chambers of Commerce, freelance permit providers, co-working spaces) to drive freelancer acquisition. Track key activity metrics (attendance, registration, engagement) to consistently optimize local tactics.
  • Global to Local Execution: Adapt and implement global community initiatives into the UAE market, ensuring global programs are seamlessly localized to drive strong regional engagement and adoption.
  • About you

  • Experience: 3+ years in a commercial, growth, or community-building role within a high-growth environment.
  • Regional Network: 5+ years of live experience in the Middle East with an established, activatable local network.
  • Seniority & Presence: Proven track record of interacting with, building trust with, and engaging senior profile talent (ex-MBB, C-level executives).
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter who has built communities from scratch rather than simply maintaining existing ones.
  • Market Ambition: Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate Malt's broader vision, market opportunity, and commercial model to external stakeholders.
  • Relationship Oriented: You are a natural connector who loves engaging directly with people, organizing gatherings, and building genuine, trust-based relationships with freelancers.
  • Communication Skills: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives across various channels.
  • Languages: Professional fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French and/or Arabic is a strong plus.
  • How to join the mission?

  • First call with our Talent Acquisition Partner, Esra, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (30-45 minutes)

  • Track Record Interview with your future manager Lena, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail. (60 minutes)

  • Case study with two of our Senior Community Managers. (60 minutes)

  • Final interview with a C-level executive to discuss Malt’s long-term vision. (30 minutes)

  • We will invite you to our Dubaï office to meet with the team!
