Compounding & Warehouse Assistant

TLDR

Support hair color and hair care manufacturing through ingredient blending, batch documentation, equipment sanitation, and warehouse operations.

eSalon is seeking a Compounding & Warehouse Assistant to join our Operations team and support the manufacturing of hair color and hair care products. This role assists the Compounder with daily compounding activities while providing general warehouse support. The ideal candidate is adaptable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures consistently. This onsite position reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, partners closely with the Warehouse Manager, and works Monday through Friday, 6AM - 2:30PM at our El Segundo facility.

  • Compounding Support: Assist with ingredient pre-weighing, pumping, blending, transferring, vessel filling, and storage activities.
  • Help organize, replenish, move, and store raw materials while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Support periodic inventory cycle counts and audits.
  • Assist with recording batch data and completing production and batch documentation.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, equipment, and compounding work areas according to established procedures.
  • Support routine preventive maintenance and safety checks, including scale calibrations and inspections of fire extinguishers and eyewash stations.
  • Perform passivation procedures on stainless steel components to extend service life.
  • Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of deionized (DI) water lines.
  • Follow all cGMP, sanitation, safety, and PPE requirements.
  • Warehouse Support: Receive, load, unload, move, and store freight, pallets, raw materials, and other supplies.
  • Organize and maintain raw materials and supplies throughout the warehouse.
  • Open developer boxes and replenish materials at designated workstations.
  • Ensure hazardous materials and containers are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
  • Support production, cleaning, sanitation, and warehouse organization as needed.
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Basic math, data-entry, and computer skills.
  • Ability to safely operate basic manufacturing and warehouse equipment and promptly report equipment issues.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, checklists, forms, and equipment manuals written in English.
  • Familiarity with cGMPs, sanitation practices, safety procedures, and required PPE.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or drum-handling equipment is preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work around chemicals, fumes, and typical manufacturing and warehouse conditions.
