FINANCE DEPARTMENT

POSITION OVERVIEW

Vantage is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Construction Cost & Finance Analyst to contribute to critical functions relating to Vantage’s finance and growth strategies. You will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our Construction Cost & Finance team and have visibility with members of our Executive Teams in North American and Europe. Your duties will include business partnering the construction team on cost control across the project lifecycle, assisting CAPEX forecasting and modelling and assisting in construction budget development. You will work closely and provide oversight to the financial accountant who is responsible for assisting PO/PR/Invoicing processing and maintaining our construction cost database. The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter who is capable of driving results and takes initiatives. You should have a professional-growth mindset and be willing to bring forth innovative ideas and methods that can benefit Vantage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Contribute to, and gradually own, several key financial documents used by the Finance team to make economically sound recommendations to Management and Shareholders.
• Suggest and implement innovative ideas or methods to improve Vantage Europe efficiency and profitability.

DUTIES

• Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports, business plans and analysis for management.
• Facilitate an efficient and timely month end process.
• Update monthly EAC proformas with actuals and committed spend.
• Review monthly EAC with county managers to ensure robust month on month forecast.
• Update Board pack and provide detailed variance analysis.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the CAPEX reporting model.
• Support and provide relevant data and reports to facilitate effective monthly PM review.
• Provide cover for CCF team members as required.
• Assist debt raising efforts in Europe by preparing relevant financial documents and analysis and supporting timely drawdown.
• Define, create and maintain various databases related to projects and contracts in order to provide accurate and relevant data or analysis to top management.
• Contribute to, or drive, budget and forecast models for Vantage Europe business.
• Contribute to, or drive, variance analysis between actuals and budget / forecasts.
• Prepare material for monthly financial reporting to Management.
• Prepare material for internal review and regular updates with the Board of Directors.
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Very confident individual who raises issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion.
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent – required.
• Strong analytical mind and quantitative skillset – required.
• Background in the construction industry - preferred.
• Highly proficient with MS Office Tools, especially Excel – required.
• Sound financial and business skills, “hands on” attitude, entrepreneurial mind, team spirit – essential.
• Curious problem solver with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility & accountability – essential.
• Excellent written/verbal communication & influencing skills - in English required.
• Cost Database Management experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex business concepts and documents.
• Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to make effective presentations on general topics.
• Provide a high-level of commitment to customer service with co-workers and stakeholders.
