Meet the Team

Meet a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, security researchers, and analysts. The team develops internal applications and platforms that improve threat analysis, security operations, automation, and research capabilities across ESET.

You will work in an international environment, collaborating closely with end users and stakeholders while having significant ownership over both the technical direction and user experience of the solutions you help build.

About the Role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will deliver web applications, backend services, and data solutions across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Combines frontend, backend, cloud-native tech, and AI automation to drive cybersecurity operations and innovation.  

- Full-stack Development & Data Infrastructure: Web applications (React, TypeScript), REST APIs (Python, FastAPI), SQL, Big Data, Docker, CI/CD
- Architecture, DevOps & Security: System design, SecOps, rigorous testing, engineering best practices
- AI Innovations: LLM integrations, AI agents, intelligent automation
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Close alignment with security researchers, analysts, and architects
- Continuous Improvement: Enhancing system reliability, optimizing development processes

Essential Requirements

- Python Development: Intermediate (FastAPI)
- Frontend Engineering: Intermediate (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS)
- Cloud & DevOps: Intermediate (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD)
- Databases: Intermediate (SQL databases, database design)
- System Administration: Intermediate (Linux OS, CLI, Git)
- Engineering Standards: High proficiency (clean, testable, maintainable code)
- English language proficiency: B2 level or higher

Desirable Requirements

- Data & Messaging (Kafka, NoSQL, Spark/Flink)
- Cloud & Web Infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP, Nginx/Apache, PHP/Laravel)
- AI/ML & Security (LLMs, AI agents, MCP, Cybersecurity/SecOps)
- UX/UI & Design (Figma, prototyping, user-centered design)
- Additional Programming Languages (Java, C/C++)

Basic wage component (brutto): from 2300 EUR/month

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
