POSITION SUMMARY

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes and keep the flow of restaurant service smooth, while upholding a Good Egg Dining Group's mission to positively impact lives by building enduring memories and multi-generational relationships through a dedication to executional excellence, intentional service, extreme hospitality, and culinary trust.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer phone professionally and according to restaurant standard. 
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. 
  • When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. 
  • Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu, specials, and be able to answer any questions customers may have effectively. 
  • Take reservations and enter on Resy according to restaurant standards. Prompt customer for additional information and email whenever possible. 
  • When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party on Resy wait list. 
  • Call out name and number of party when tables become available. 
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time. 
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. 
  • Seat guest/guests based on preferences and while balancing customer flow in service stations. 
  • Be able to re-work existing reservations and waiter sections to accommodate walk-ins and unexpected last minute reservations. Inform Management and staff of changes. 
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. 
  • Relay messages to servers, bus and manager as needed, especially guest notes from Resy. 
  • Help with bussing and drink service if time warrants. 
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. 
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • No previous restaurant experience required. 
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours). 
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests. 
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits. 
  • A passion for EXTREME HOSPITALITY.
