IT Specialist

TLDR

Support Windows and macOS users while managing LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and M365 administration.

About the Role

Lumilens Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Specialist for our Bangalore office to deliver high-quality end-user support for Windows and macOS environments, while also contributing to basic network operations and Microsoft Azure / M365 administration. The ideal candidate balances strong hands-on desktop support skills with foundational cloud and network competencies and communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

End-User Support

  • Provide L1/L2 desktop support for Windows 10/11 and macOS across the Singapore office

  • Laptop provisioning, imaging, configuration & lifecycle management (Windows & Mac)

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, peripherals, printers & AV equipment

  • Manage software installations, patch management & OS updates

  • Support onboarding & offboarding — device setup, account creation & asset handover

  • Maintain IT asset inventory and track hardware/software licenses

Network & Connectivity

  • Manage basic LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity troubleshooting for end users

  • Support VPN client configuration and remote access for Singapore staff

  • Coordinate with regional Network Engineer for escalations and site-level changes

  • Assist in cable patching, switch port configuration & Wi-Fi AP management

Cloud & M365 Administration

  • Manage M365 user accounts, licenses & groups via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Support Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online for Singapore users

  • Assist in Intune/Endpoint Manager device enrolment & compliance policy enforcement

  • Handle Azure AD user provisioning, password resets & MFA troubleshooting

Technical Requirements

End-User & Desktop

  • Strong troubleshooting (Group Policy, registry, event logs)

  • System Preferences, MDM enrolment, iCloud & keychain management (macOS)

  • Laptop repair, RAM/SSD replacement, peripheral setup

  • Experience with ITSM/Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Jira Service Desk, or equivalent)

  • Imaging & deployment (SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, MDT)

  • Antivirus/EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, or equivalent)

Networking (Foundational)

  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs — conceptual & operational understanding

  • Basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting (Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, or similar cloud-managed APs)

  • VPN clients (Cisco AnyConnect, Global Protect, or equivalent)

  • Basic switch/router CLI (Cisco/HP/Aruba) for port checks & VLAN tagging

Microsoft Azure & M365

  • User & group management, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA (Microsoft Entra ID)

  • Device enrolment, compliance policies, app deployment (Microsoft Intune)

  • M365 Apps administration (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive)

  • Azure portal navigation, resource groups, VM/storage awareness

  • Basic scripting for M365 user management & automation (PowerShell)

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5–8 years of hands-on IT support & systems administration experience

  • Proven experience supporting both Windows and macOS in a corporate environment

  • Microsoft certifications: MS-900, MD-102, AZ-900, or equivalent (preferred)

  • Strong English communication — verbal, written, and documentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in the Bangalore office

Good to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing or technology company (multi-site environment)

  • Familiarity with Lumilens tools: ERP, Slack/Teams, SharePoint

  • Exposure to CCTV/physical security or AV systems management

  • Basic understanding of SASE/Zero Trust concepts (SDWAN or similar)

  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management exposure

  • Mandarin or Malay language skills a plus for local stakeholder support
