Lead software Engineer
TLDR
Leadership role shaping cloud-based diagnostic software for regulated medical systems, guiding architecture and best practices across backend and frontend with cross-functional collaboration.
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for cloud-based diagnostic platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will take ownership of end-to-end technical delivery while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Architect, design, code, test, and debug software applications across backend and frontend systems
- Develop prototypes to validate design concepts and support product innovation discussions
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing robust fixes
- Define and promote software engineering best practices including code quality, testing, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management
- Work with stakeholders to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development
- 2+ years of experience in frontend development using Angular or React
- Strong experience with Linux environments, networking fundamentals, and scripting (Python or Shell)
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control
- 2+ years of experience working with Azure cloud technologies or similar cloud platforms
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams
- Exposure to regulated software development (FDA/ISO standards) or medical device systems is a plus
