Shutterfly

Manager, eCommerce

$102,000 – $154,000 per year

TLDR

Own customer journey strategy across site funnels and information architecture, scaling discovery solutions across millions of design SKUs.

At Spoonflower (part of the Shutterfly family of brands) our mission is to empower your vision by helping you discover the perfect design for you and your print on wallpaper, fabric, or home decor. Spoonflower connects independent artists worldwide who create designs with consumers, makers, and interior designers looking for unique designs and products that are right for their projects.

Role Overview:

Make your mark at a growing company. We’re looking for a strategic eCommerce Manager at Spoonflower to shape the customer buying experience across the site. This role will drive impact across numerous user journeys and conversion funnels with a focus on identifying and creating the optimal navigation paths and structure. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital customer behavior and site experience—with a mindset rooted in growth and continuous optimization.

The new eCommerce team at Spoonflower is singularly focused on evolving Spoonflower.com to better empower homeowners, designers, and makers to create beautiful, elevated projects that are uniquely theirs. We help run the everyday business on the site, leading most of the daily decisions around content, user journeys, and more. You’ll play a hands-on role in building and growing the business alongside a team of dedicated leaders across the organization.

You will succeed in this role if you’re a problem solver—you are genuinely curious about customer behavior, how to influence it to make their experience as enjoyable as it can be, and why an effort worked or didn’t. You have a proven track record of delivering revenue by putting the customer first. Your instinct is always to look for and at the data. You’re always chasing a win but also not afraid of failure—as long as you learn from it.

This role may not be the right fit if your expertise leans towards site merchandising or owning a defined area of the customer experience vs. the entire funnel. If you prefer to balance a few initiatives vs. many, this role may have too much context switching.

Key Impact Areas

You will create and lead the overall customer journey strategy with a focus on single-category and cross-category discovery. You are responsible for how these funnels translate into sales, specifically home décor growth in 2027.

Ownership

  • Drive the strategy and execution of our site funnels and information architecture—laddering up to the broader eCommerce vision
  • Identify opportunities across the entire site, including traditional eCommerce tactics such as cross-sells, Shop the Look, and remarketing
  • Develop and prioritize your roadmap, championing decisions that connect customer experience needs with business growth
  • Create solutions that can scale across a complex digital experience with millions of design SKUs
  • Translate ideas into clear, actionable plans
  • Build buy-in from leadership as well as cross-functional partners by demonstrating strong strategic, analytical, and operational thinking

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Product, Creative, Marketing, and more for both roadmap initiatives as well as everyday launches
  • Help build alignment, balancing needs of multiple teams
  • Define and solve reporting needs with cross-functional teams to make data-backed choices and tradeoffs

Day-to-Day Execution

  • Be ready to roll up your sleeves—this is a lean team, and you’ll balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution
  • Own the overall execution of your initiatives from concept through launch
  • Execute flawlessly in our CMS (content management system) and other platforms
  • Jump in to QA, troubleshoot, and review work across the team as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital product (with a preference for Growth Product), or site experience
  • Proven track record of driving eCommerce revenue across multiple categories
  • Proficiency with analytics platforms (Adobe, Google Analytics) and content management systems
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other commerce platforms is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellence working with cross-functional teams, specifically Engineering and Performance Marketing
  • Relentless attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Ability and design to thrive in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
