Mobile IOS/Android Lead Developer (Yangon)

We are looking for Mobile (iOS/Android) developers responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse iOS/Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS/Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test mobile applications while understading our products from both a technical and business perspective in the context of our larger business
• Communicate with management, product owners, other technologists and users to create working software based on an understanding of business and techical priorities
• Ensure the best possible performancem quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices and new technologies. We are always improving the process of building software; we’ll need your help to do that

Skills/Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years of experience managing a team of developers
• College degree in Computer Science or related field of study/equivalent experience
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Demonstrated skills in writing and testing (unit, automation, integration) high-quality, readable, well-architected and efficient code
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with XML, JSON or other mark-up languages
• A creative and agile team-player with a passion for product quality and attention to the little things.

For Android Developers:

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

For iOS Developers:

• Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred

Highly Considered

• Knowledge of HR Domain
• Experience in Bluetooth, Fingerprint and NDK will be an advantage
• Familiar with Test Driven Development
• Familiar with tools like fabric.io, JIRA, Confluence
• Ability to perform in a team environment
• Work experience in Singapore is advantageous
• Experience in Kotlin, C++, SQLLite language will be an advantage but not a requirement
