Network Specialist

Working within our corporate infrastructure team, as a Network Specialist you will support the engineering, optimization, and stability of the corporate backbone, campus, and datacenter infrastructure. You will actively contribute to technical discussions to provide insights on how to leverage our WAN backbone to its full capacity. Handling both incident response and day-to-day operations, you will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and explore new ideas/concepts, piloting innovation initiatives in line with business requirements.

What you'll be doing:

• Deploy, support and enhance our corporate network infrastructure, including WAN, MPLS, WiFi, and Datacenter connectivity 
• Contribute to network projects, expansions, upgrades and implementation of new network services 
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and help implement solutions to prevent recurrence 
• Support routing, Internet peering, firewalls, and network security policies 
• Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams, ISPs, Datacenter providers, and technology vendors 
• Help automate and improve network operations and processes 
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support 
  

What you'll need to be successful:  

Must haves:   

• 4+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, network operations, or a similar infrastructure role 
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts and routing protocols, including BGP OSPF and IS-IS 
• Familiarity with MPLS and VPN/tunneling technologies such as IPSec or GRE 
• Exposure to EVPN-VXLAN, EVPN-MPLS, or similar Datacenter networking technologies 
• Experience supporting firewalls and applying network security principles 
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to respond to complex network incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis 
• Ability to collaborate with internal infrastructure teams, service providers, Datacenter partners, and hardware vendors 
  

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Juniper platforms and Junos OS, or comparable networking technologies 
  
• JNCIA/JNCIP or CCNA/CCNP certifications 
• Exposure to ISP technologies such MPLS Segment Routing, or Traffic Engineering 
  
• Practical experience with 802.1x Authentication and Radius administration
• Experience with network automation and related tools such as Python, Ansible or Git
• Cloud connectivity experience
