OSINT Investigator

TLDR

Connect digital identifiers across the open web to attribute threat actors and produce actionable intelligence for enforcement decisions.

We are looking for a highly analytical and independent Intelligence Analyst / OSINT Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for independently collecting, validating, analyzing, and connecting publicly available information from multiple online sources. Your work will directly produce actionable intelligence that supports key enforcement decisions and drives our business objectives forward.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct Complex Investigations: Lead deep-dive online investigations across e-commerce marketplaces, social media, websites, domains, and the broader open web.
  • Threat Actor Attribution: Identify and attribute infringing sellers or threat actors by connecting digital identifiers (e.g., social accounts, domains, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, corporate records, and shipping data).
  • Project & Vendor Management: Oversee investigative projects from inception to completion, including coordinating with external vendors and managing outsourced tasks efficiently.
  • Process Design: Design, refine, and implement scalable investigative processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency and intelligence gathering.
  • Customer-Facing Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert in client-facing interactions, presenting complex investigative findings clearly and aligning intelligence outputs with customer needs.
  • Evidence Management: Perform rigorous source validation and evidence collection, ensuring all findings are documented in a defensible, repeatable, and legally sound manner.
  • Intelligence Reporting: Produce clear, intelligence-led investigation reports that offer actionable recommendations for stakeholders and enforcement teams.
  • Lead Development: Go beyond simply gathering information—think analytically to identify hidden patterns, transform raw online data into strategic intelligence, and develop new investigative leads.
  • Proven OSINT Expertise (Mandatory): At least a year of hands-on experience using common OSINT methodologies and investigation tools (e.g., WHOIS, DNS analysis, reverse image search, corporate registries, Wayback Machine / archived websites, geolocation, and social media analysis).
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in project management and customer-facing roles, with strong communication skills to present findings to external clients and internal teams.
  • Operational Optimization: Experience in process design and managing outsourced tasks or vendor relationships to support investigative goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with commercial OSINT platforms and link-analysis tools (such as Maltego, IBM i2, or similar).
  • Analytical Mindset: A natural problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear narratives.
  • Relevant Background: Previous experience in Brand Protection, Fraud Investigations, Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Law Enforcement, Financial Crime (AML/KYC), or Digital Investigations is highly relevant and strongly preferred.
