Product Engineer

About the Role

This is a product-focused engineering role at the intersection of customer discovery, full-stack delivery, and engineering culture. You'll work on mission-critical problems for energy retailers — turning complex domain challenges into intuitive, production-grade experiences on a small, high-ownership team where your work directly shapes the business.

What You'll Do

• Sit with customers to dissect problems and develop product intuition that drives engineering decisions.

• Ship end-to-end features across the stack, taking work from discovery all the way to production.

• Leverage AI-native development tools to accelerate output and amplify individual impact.

• Own zero-to-one problems such as dunning workflows, customer portal re-engineering, and billing systems.

• Prioritise ruthlessly — deciding what to build, what to skip, and when to kill initiatives.

• Solve core energy retail challenges across billing, procurement, retention, and cost optimisation.

• Shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes, and help raise the hiring bar as the team grows.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of software engineering experience delivering full-stack products end-to-end to production.

• A track record of owning zero-to-one problems from discovery through launch — we care about what you've shipped.

• Strong full-stack capabilities and comfort owning systems across the entire product surface.

• Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools (e.g., AI code assistants) as everyday force multipliers.

• Experience — or deep interest — in energy retail domains: billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimisation.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate with extreme ownership in early-stage environments.

• Experience influencing engineering culture, tooling, or process in a small or growing team.

• Background in high-engineering-bar environments or meaningful open-source contributions is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: €80,000 – €120,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
