About the Role
As a Product Manager in the Ocado Mobile Robotics team, you will be instrumental in discovering, defining, and launching innovative capabilities that solve problems for our OMRS clients. You will be the key go-to person for Ocado IQ and The Bridge, becoming a deep domain and product expert.
You will work closely with engineering, providing clear and prioritised business requirements for the Ocado IQ platform. You will work with sales and marketing to drive the right product direction, represent the roadmap and negotiate client requests. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure Ocado IQ provides growing, measurable value to Ocado’s and our clients’ businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading discovery visits/meetings to understand pain points of customers, negotiate requested features, and prioritise highest-value development work.
- Serving as a subject matter expert and champion regarding OcadoIQ, Chuck and Porter products.
- Creating, refining and presenting a comprehensive product vision and roadmap - based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, supporting the timely delivery of capabilities that solve the problem.
- Market research and metrics analysis to inform product strategy and discover potential new OMRS products.
- Collaborating with Finance, Engineering and Product leadership to justify investment and ensure product profitability.
About You
You are passionate about building exceptional software products that solve problems and delight users. You bring:
- Strong problem-solving, prioritisation and valuation skills.
- Deep curiosity about digital products – how they work, their users, and how they are built.
- Strength in planning, managing, tracking and delivering multiple commitments in parallel.
- Great team player but also maturity and ability to be autonomous
- A big appetite for, and experience of, using AI for knowledge work and product work.
- Great communication skills.
- The leadership qualities to inspire and guide others.
- The ability to think strategically but also dive into the detail and get things done – you have a bias to action.
Required experience:
- 3+ years of experience in product management roles.
- Preferred: prior experience in one or more of – warehouse automation, logistics, robotics, or cloud-based software services.
- Preferred: experience in fast-paced scale-up environments (taking fast, high-quality decisions based on incomplete information).
