Blue Planet is seeking a Professional Services Inventory Software Developer to design, develop, and optimize software solutions that drive innovation in inventory management systems. How You Will Contribute:
Design, develop, and unit test software modules or features for new or upgraded systems and products.
Implement software solutions aligned with project plans and priorities.
Write and maintain Java code, create Spring beans, and develop JUnit tests.
Extend GUI components such as grids and reports using core product modules.
Optimize database queries and procedures for Neo4j and PostgreSQL.
Support debugging, deployment, and environment setup using Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with global teams, product stakeholders, and other developers to align development with business needs.
Document software design and analysis comprehensively.
The Must Haves:
6+ years of experience:
Frontend Development:
Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SVG.
Frameworks/Libraries: Angular 2+, Node.js/npm, Gulp.
Testing: Protractor, Jasmine.
Backend Development:
Languages: Java 11+, J2EE.
Frameworks/Libraries: Maven, Spring (Data, Security, MVC), SpringBoot.
Testing: JUnit.
Databases:
Primary: Neo4j (Graph DB), PostgreSQL + TimescaleDB.
Domain Knowledge:
Telecom, OSS (Operational Support Systems), and Inventory Management.
The Assets:
Expertise in ElasticSearch, Camunda/BPMN/OSM/Workflow, Drools, Kafka integration, RESTful APIs (using Spring MVC).
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP).
Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and database concepts (relational and graph).
Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, including LDAP, SAML, and OAuth2.
Ability to design network, service topology, and device GUI diagrams for telecommunications technologies.
Knowledge of DWDM/OTN, SONET, MPLS, GPON, FTTH technologies, and inventory management systems like Cramer, Granite, or Metasolv.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or CKD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
