Registered Nurse (Contractor) – Rotorua & Christchurch

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to support decentralised (community-based) clinical trials by delivering in-home visits to participants across Rotorua and Christchurch.
This is a flexible independent contractor opportunity ideal for nurses who want autonomy and meaningful clinical work outside of traditional hospital shift environments. You will contribute directly to innovative research while working around your availability.
Location: Rotorua & Christchurch
Contract Type: Independent Contractor – 12-month term
About the Role
You will deliver clinical trial procedures in participants’ homes, working in accordance with study protocols and under Principal Investigator oversight.
This role offers exposure to a variety of clinical trials and therapeutic areas, with workload varying depending on study activity. Some periods may involve occasional visits, while others may include more regular scheduled engagement.
Full training will be provided.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct clinical trial visits and procedures dependent upon the study protocol
- Administer investigational products and monitor patient response, thoroughly documenting each visit
- Fortnightly or weekly visits to patients, depending upon trial schedule
- Maintain accurate documentation (GDP) and ensure compliance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Collaborate with investigator physicians, site teams and Study Coordinators
What We’re Looking For:
- Current APC (Annual Practicing Certificate)
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience; research experience is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with technology and confident using digital tools
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with community-based work for decentralised trials (visiting participants in their own homes)
- Valid Full NZ Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle
