A Financial Controller is a senior role within a startup responsible for the management of all financial aspects of the company. They oversee the production of periodic financial reports, maintain accounting records, and set up control systems designed to mitigate financial risk. They ensure that the company's financial practices adhere to laws and regulations. They are also in charge of forecasting and budgeting, presenting and reporting accurate and timely financial information to upper management, and guiding their coworkers in financial decisions.
