A Technical Program Manager, or simply, a TPM, leads and coordinates the technical aspects of ongoing projects and processes within a startup. With a blend of business and technical acumen, a TPM liaises amongst different technical teams while making sure they are in line with the startup's objectives. Apart from setting project goals and identifying project milestones, a TPM ensures that all technical facets such as quality, performance, and reliability of products are taken care of. A TPM has to be equipped with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment.
