About Position:

Appster is looking for ROR  Developers  who possess a passion for building web based application and highly secure and fast web services.

Profile: Software Developer (ROR)

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code

• Design robust, scalable and secure features

• Create web services for mobile applications

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards)

• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design

• Memory and performance optimization.


• Evaluating and utilizing third party libraries and components.


• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers, and other engineers.


Candidate Specification:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• Proven working experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails

• Proven working experience in software development

• A firm grasp of object oriented analysis and design

• Good knowledge of relational databases

• Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery is an added advantage.

• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases is an added advantage

• Ability to work in team environment as well as independently.


• Good to have written and verbal english communication skills.
