Senior iOS Mobile Developer - Backbase
TLDR
Develop enterprise-grade iOS apps on the Backbase platform for financial institutions, delivering secure, scalable digital banking experiences through close collaboration with clients.
- Develop, customize, and maintain native iOS applications built on the Backbase Digital Banking Platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Extend and integrate Backbase mobile components to meet specific client requirements and deliver tailored digital banking experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Client stakeholders to define, build, and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and release planning to ensure engineering excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining application stability, scalability, and security standards.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations in close collaboration with clients in a consulting environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and development standards.
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
- Strong expertise in Swift and UIKit, with deep understanding of modern iOS development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Backbase Digital Banking Platform, including customization and integration of mobile components.
- Proven experience delivering digital banking solutions for banks, credit unions, or financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and scalable mobile design patterns.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services in production applications.
- Experience with reactive programming (Combine and/or RxSwift).
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile release processes.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in consulting or professional services environments is highly valued.
- Competitive salary range (CAD $90,000–$130,000 depending on experience and location).
