Senior Software Integration Engineer - Warehouse Automation

Why this role matters 

As our customer deployment projects grow in software complexity, we are strengthening our team with a Senior Software Integration Lead based in Munich. In this role, you will take ownership of software topics on deployment projects, coordinate development activities, structure reporting, and act as the bridge between customers and other project teams. 

What you’ll do 

• Manage the software development of specific features for client deployment projects, from specification through to handover to the Operations teams. 
• Develop and share software reporting with Project Team, highlighting risks and opportunities 
• Drive and facilitate functional analysis workshops to analyze customer’s needs and propose software solutions 
• Write the software specifications for all software developments 
• Organize, contribute and follow developments of programs and software interfaces between Exotec WES, the WMS and third-parties 
• Drive Software Integration Engineers during the development phase of projects 
• Lead tests, simulations and integration campaigns of our software 
• Ensure proper handover of developed software features to project Operations teams 
• Support Operation team for our customer installations 
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the service 

Requirements

• Master’s degree, Engineering degree or equivalent background. 

• Around 5 years of experience, including software integration, software development coordination, technical project management or similar responsibilities. 

• Experience or strong interest in WMS/WES, warehouse automation, logistics systems or industrial software environments. 

• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work confidently in a client-facing context. 

• Strong logical thinking, structured problem-solving and the ability to manage conceptual complexity.
