Small Animal Veterinarian (Part-Time) – Point Chevalier, Auckland

Veterinary Care Point Chev is looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our genuinely lovely team on a part-time basis.

About the role: 
 
Enjoy a balanced mix of consulting and surgery in a 100% small animal practice with a varied caseload. You’ll work approx. 24.5 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday, and every second Friday), plus a 1:4 Saturday roster. No after-hours, Sundays, or public holidays – because work-life balance matters.

About us:

We’ve been caring for Auckland pets for over 20 years across our three clinics (Point Chev, Balmoral, Royal Oak). Our clinics are well-equipped with in-house diagnostics, digital and dental radiography, and ultrasound support, including an internal ultrasound referral service based at Point Chev. We encourage thorough workups and provide strong clinical support, with easy access to referral centres when needed.

About you:
  •  3+ years’ small animal experience
  •  Confident in consults, routine surgery, and dentistry
  • Ultrasound interest or experience is a bonus
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • NZ recognised veterinary qualification
  • NZ work rights  - sponsorship is not available for this position
