Build and own scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC-driven infrastructure, and robust observability to accelerate secure software delivery across global teams.

Transforming the Future of Enterprise Planning

At o9, our mission is to be the Most Value-Creating Platform for enterprises by transforming decision-making through our AI-first approach. By integrating siloed planning capabilities and capturing millions—even billions—in value leakage, we help businesses plan smarter and faster.

This not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces waste, leading to better outcomes for both businesses and the planet. Global leaders like Google, PepsiCo, Walmart, T-Mobile, AB InBev, and Starbucks trust o9 to optimize their supply chains.

Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations to drive the scalability, reliability, and security of our global infrastructure. Leveraging your 6–8 years of deep technical expertise, you will transition from pure execution to true ownership—architecting robust CI/CD pipelines, championing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, and optimizing containerized environments. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to accelerate software delivery, proactively resolve complex production bottlenecks, and cultivate a culture of high-performance automation and continuous technical excellence.

What you’ll do for us

  • Pipeline Architecture & Automation: Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure CI/CD deployment pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to fully automate building, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Own, scale, and maintain production cloud infrastructure and deployment environments, leveraging IaC principles to manage servers, databases, load balancers, and networking components.

  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement and optimize robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to proactively manage application performance, ensure high availability, and rapidly troubleshoot production issues.

  • DevSecOps & Compliance: Drive security-first practices across the deployment pipeline and applications, managing SSL certificates, firewalls, IAM roles, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Developer Enablement: Partner closely with software engineering teams to understand architectural requirements, align deployment strategies with development workflows, and foster a strong DevOps culture.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify inefficiencies in current workflows and infrastructure, spearheading continuous automation initiatives to reduce cycle times and operational overhead.

  • Escalation Support: Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and remediation for deployed applications and infrastructure.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaborative, cross-functional efforts to ensure successful, seamless, and zero-downtime software releases.

  • On-Call Availability: Participate in a shared on-call rotation to provide tier-3, 24/7 support for our core platform.

  • Global Alignment: Maintain the flexibility to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering and operations teams across global time zones.

What you’ll have

  • Experience: 6–8 years of progressive, hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure engineering role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field with 6+ years of experience OR a Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.

  • Cloud Expertise: Deep production experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining highly available cloud-native applications in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Certifications: Professional-level cloud certification is highly preferred (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer).

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Advanced enterprise experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), including managing production clusters, Helm charts, and service meshes.

  • Automation & Configuration: Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (primarily Terraform) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).

  • Database Administration: Practical experience managing, scaling, and troubleshooting relational (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases in cloud/container environments.

  • OS & Scripting: Strong Linux and Windows systems administration skills, with a proven track record of automation utilizing scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
