System Administrator/Engineering HGWs

This positiion is to join the Internet Services team.

What will you do?

• Perform advanced troubleshooting of Linux-based Home Gateways (HGWs), covering fixed access networks, Wi-Fi, and IP services.
• Conduct low-level analysis in Linux environments (shell, processes, memory, networking, configurations) to identify symptoms and root causes.
• Analyse Wi-Fi issues (coverage, interference, channel utilisation, band steering, performance) based on metrics, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.
• Reproduce issues in a laboratory environment and characterise them using technical evidence such as logs, captures, and metrics.
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate testing, evidence collection, log analysis, and repetitive operational tasks.
• Document processes, technical analyses, workarounds, and recommendations, ensuring traceability and effective knowledge sharing. 

What are we looking for?

• Strong knowledge of Linux (debugging, configuration, scripting, etc.) (mandatory)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, related services (DHCP, DNS, etc.), and debugging tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies (2.4/5 GHz, IEEE 802.11) (preferred)
• Knowledge of fixed access network technologies such as GPON and DOCSIS (preferred)
• Scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash) (preferred)
• Knowledge of OpenWrt (preferred)
