System Engineering (human)
TLDR
Design load-bearing robot structures for high-volume production using FEM results, 3D CAD, and diverse manufacturing methods.
This is where Artificial Intelligence comes to life
The Mechanical Development team designs the drives, structural parts, and peripherals of our robots. From first concept to manufacturing-ready drawing, this is where lightweight, precise, and series-ready components come to life.
Your mission & challenges
You design the load-bearing structural parts of our product – lightweight, stiff, and ready for high-volume production.
• Designing structural parts (casting, die-casting, sheet metal, plastic, additive manufacturing)
• Designing for manufacturability and assembly, including tolerance allocation
• Iterating designs based on FEM results (stiffness, strength, weight)
• Creating 3D models, drawings, and bills of materials
• Coordinating with suppliers on feasibility and tooling concepts
What we're looking for
• Degree or technician qualification in mechanical engineering or comparable
• Experience designing structural/housing parts
• Knowledge of casting, sheet metal, or plastic part design
• Confident use of 3D CAD and tolerance analysis
• Conscientious, solution-oriented way of working
