Position - CSA Coordinator

Essential Job Functions

• Own Space Allocation programs within Vantage’s internal design standards
• Own Space Allocation programs for Build-to-Suit projects according to client requirements.
• Interface and coordinate with the electrical and mechanical engineering team on per project basis
• Participate in all aspects of architectural and structural design including conceptual design, basis of design, scope of work, development of construction documents
• Create and/or review project plans and specifications
• Interface and manage architectural and structural design and design-build contractors on a per-project basis
• Oversee review process of architecture and structural engineering studies of all types
• Coordination and overview of the interior design across facilities and ensuring compliance with VDC standards
• Coordination and local implementation overview of the interior design with the General Contractor CSA Manager
• Visit job sites for field investigations and coordination meetings

Duties

• Provide oversight and review of project plans, space allocation programs and master planning submittals throughout the complete design process (i.e Riba workstages 1 to 6)
• Conduct value engineering reviews, and provide construction method recommendations based on ROI and IRR considerations
• Participate in permitting application process providing guidance to the rest of the project teams with implementation of local regulation required adaptations to standard designs
• Attend project design team meetings and ensure product constructed meets architectural standards and specifications
• Work closely with Operations to find a balance between cost-effective solutions & operational sustainability
• Work closely with Marketing to find a balance between cost-effective solutions & high-end office and common areas standard design for the Vantage datacenters.
• Work closely with Marketing and local teams to find a balance between cost-effective solutions and high-end, local adapted, standard design for the Vantage datacenters façades.
• Project coordination and quality control acceptance
• Develop and/or set minimum requirements for complete material and people paths through the datacenters in normal and emergency situation.
• Help set standards for architectural, civil and structural quality control efforts and ensure compliance on each project
• Sales advice during tours, RFP’s, both standard and bespoke solutions, and customer meetings
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor of Architecture, or equivalent, from an accredited university or college
• Substantial experience in architectural design and construction required; site experience would be an advantage
• Data Center and/or mission critical experience is required;
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Excel, Word, Bluebeam rendering & modelling software
• Working knowledge of building and fire codes ordinances
• Travel required is expected to be 10 to 15%, but may increase over time as the business evolves
