About Salmon

Salmon Bank (Rural Bank) Inc., the banking arm of Salmon Group Ltd., is a technology-driven challenger bank in the Philippines operating under a BSP license. We combine the trust of a licensed institution with the speed and convenience of a modern financial product. Work within regulated financial infrastructure, where product, risk, compliance, operations, technology, and customer experience are closely connected.

About the role

  • You'll join our financial crime investigations function, working alongside the Senior Investigator and the wider team.

  • You'll review alerts, run CDD and EDD checks, and build the case narratives that keep our investigations sharp and audit-ready.

  • The team is still young and still figuring out its processes — you'll help shape that by doing the work well and flagging what needs to change.

What you'll do

  • Review and triage transaction monitoring alerts across Salmon Bank's payments products, making timely, well-documented recommendations for closure or escalation.

  • Conduct CDD and EDD reviews as part of your investigation workflow — sanctions screening, PEP checks, adverse media research.

  • Build structured case narratives that document your logic, evidence, and conclusion clearly enough for Senior Investigator review and Compliance submission.

  • Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Senior Investigator with a clear summary of what you found and why it matters — they own the handoff to Compliance and AML from there.

  • Flag new typologies or patterns you notice in your caseload — your observations directly shape how the team tunes its alert logic.

What you'll own

  • Accurate, audit-ready records in the case management system for every case you touch

  • Your team's productivity and quality SLAs.

  • The clarity and rigor of your case narratives, from evidence gathering through to conclusion.

What makes you a strong fit

  • 1–3 years in AML investigations, transaction monitoring, or financial crime compliance — ideally at a fintech, payments company, or digital bank.

  • Solid understanding of KYC, CDD, EDD frameworks, AML/CFT regulation, and common money laundering typologies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with a sharp eye for accuracy and detail.

  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable interpreting complex datasets to spot anomalies and suspicious patterns.

  • Comfortable in a small team that's still figuring out its process — you flag gaps rather than work around them.

  • Experience supporting STR/SAR investigations, familiarity with transaction monitoring platforms like Feedzai, Hawk AI, or Sardine, and a CAMS or ICA qualification (or working toward one) are all a genuine advantage, though not required.

What we offer

You'll get real ownership over your caseload from day one, with direct exposure to how a bank's financial crime function gets built. You'll work closely with a Senior Investigator who can teach you the craft, inside a small team where your observations actually change how things run. This is a chance to grow your AML expertise fast, in an environment that rewards people who spot problems and speak up.
