PHYSIOLOGY LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Start Date: 8/25/2025

Conduct laboratory research and support experiments in vascular biology. Ideal for second-year medical students with prior lab experience and strong technical skills.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies:

  1. Perform isometric tension study experiments, western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, and knockdown of individual genes with siRNAs in cultured cells and vascular tissues – C, TW, P, CT, CTR, T
  2. Advise and supervise first-year medical student laboratory fellows in conducting planned experiments – C, TW, P, CT, CTR, T

Education Requirements: Second-year medical student preferred. At least one year of laboratory research experience required.

Preferred Skills: Mastery of techniques such as isometric tension study, western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, siRNA knockdown in cultured cells and vascular tissues.

Work Schedule: Varies depending on workload. Employment through June 30, 2025.

Work Conditions: Normal office environment.

Physical Demands: Keyboarding.
