2 Level Support Engineer

We’re looking for a dedicated, service oriented 2nd Level Support Engineer to provide top-of-the-line service to Taboola’s clients. The position will require troubleshooting complex web and backend technology issues. The 2nd Level Support Engineer will work closely with the various teams throughout the company, including R&D, IT Operations and Professional Services; becoming an invaluable source of information, solutions and know-how. The 2nd Level Support Engineer will also create problem solving tools and will be expected to transfer technical knowledge to other tiers of support, making work flows smoother, smarter and constantly improving.

Responsibilities

  • The 2nd Level Support Engineer will be a hands-on technical problem solver 
  • Ongoing support and working closely with the business teams internationally
  • Solving technical problems on the product side
  • Case study and analysis of data in order to understand problems and find solutions
  • High level of Multitasking and prioritizing
  • Serving as the local tech point of contact for the business

Requirements:

  • Analytical abilities and familiarity with data – a must
  • Impeccable English – both written and spoken skills
  • The will and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and learn, learn, learn!
  • Superb personal skills - ability to work both alone and with remote teams. Independent, responsible and reliable.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, will accept equivalent professional experience
  • Experience supporting web products  – a considerable advantage
  • Familiar with internet technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, various browsers, troubleshooting experience) – an advantage
  • MySQL knowledge – comfortable reaching into a database to explore an issue - an advantage
  • Experience working in a 2nd or 3rd Support team of a high tech organization.
  • Good understanding of internet protocols: http request/response, cookies etc. - an advantage
