About the Position: The Area Supervisor has responsibility for the tactical execution of the Corporate Security strategy and for leading the site security teams/programming at SIE’s Los Angeles (2) and Santa Monica locations. The ideal candidate will have great capacity for creativity, proactive and strategic thinking with a track record demonstrating initiative, world-class customer service, self-motivation, organizational leadership and results-oriented attitude to influence outcomes.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create, build, and deploy an intelligence-led Physical Security program in a decentralized and non-traditional corporate setting.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Leads Physical Security Vendor personnel and programming within a geographic region
  • Executes the Security polices and training to protect people and assets as directed by the Physical Security Manager.
  • Fosters and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Hires, trains and develops a highly competent team of contract security professionals
  • Security technology subject matter expert, including CCTV, access control, alarms and other innovative technology
  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends security measures within the AOR that effectively mitigate risk
  • Conducts local investigations and ensures strict chain of evidence processes are followed
  • Responds to security incidents and acts as a subject matter expert for emergency and crisis response
  • Provides security support for special events
  • Provides updates and recommendations to Senior-level leadership
  • Supports other facilities and teams as needed
  • Actively manage projects and service scope; proactively estimate and manage project/services resources
  • Recommend measures necessary to bring into/maintain compliance with existing policies, procedures, and local and legal requirements
  • Develop and provide security documentation that include metrics and analysis report.


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or other related degree or certification
  • Experience leading security at multiple facilities
  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in Corporate Security or Assets Protection leadership
  • Experienced with project management
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead effectively under high stress situations
  • High degree of integrity and ethics
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours in support of mission; on-call requirements
  • Ability to travel within designated geographic area, and outside area as-needed
  • Baseline experience managing crisis situations and/or life safety programming


  • Advanced certifications and degrees related to the position; CPP/PMP/ICS certifications preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel/PPT/Visio/Outlook)
  • Able to function independently, under pressure and perform multiple functions and duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Supervisory or leadership experience
  • Self-directed, minimal supervision required
