Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Global Fraud Management and Security Teams are the guardians of customer trust for PlayStation and PSN. We provide innovative solutions to support every element of the platform, various platform services, customer service teams, a diverse developer community, and more.

Internally, the candidate is expected to partner with the worldwide Sony Product Management, Engineering, Security and the Global Fraud Management organization to help manage and drive forward strategic projects.

Externally, the candidate is expected to partner with competitors, publishers and organizations like the MRC, NCFTA and others, to drive SIE’s fraud strategy by establishing best practices and combining forces for mitigating risk, fraud and abuse across channels.

SIE is committed to building a next generation fraud and risk platform that will support the global, fast growing PlayStation® Network customer base, world class PlayStation® consoles, hand-held devices, PlayStation® TV, and network entertainment services such as PlayStation® Vue, PlayStation® Music, PlayStation® Video and PlayStation® Now. 

The individual's primary responsibilities include help driving day to day relationships with multiple internal and external teams to facilitate the delivery of the next generation fraud and risk platform, as well as policies and best practices to support our ecommerce, media and entertainment platforms.

  • Work with the rest of the strategy team to drive the technology strategy, fraud services architecture, and fraud services/process roadmap
  • Collaborates with Global Fraud Management, Platform/Service engineering and management of multiple worldwide business units, as well as outside 3rd parties to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their involvement, goals, expectations, tasks, and timelines
  • Participates in product roadmap discussions and helps identifying key areas for improvement in the product, and incorporate these goals into ongoing & future development initiatives and processes
  • Works with Product Teams (Security, Commerce and Accounts & Identity) to manage and define requirements, stories, mockups, story boards etc. for the fraud systems and processes
  • Assists in the evaluation and preparation of strategy and recommendations on current fraud products and processes
  • Helps drive relationships and strategic alliances with outside sources such as MRC (Gaming Alliance), NCFTA and competitors (Microsoft, Google, EA, etc.) in order to establish best practices
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of new vendors and tools to complement current capabilities
  • Assists in vendor onboarding and monitoring
  • Helps communicating and presenting KPIs, Metrics and regular reports on the fraud system, new processes and vendor performance to stakeholders


  • Experience in online fraud risk mitigation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable with presenting ideas to large audiences
  • Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with others at all levels, including working with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams
  • Must be able to communicate complicated concepts to business and leadership stakeholders
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented
  • Must have attention for detail
  • Ability to travel for key stakeholder meetings


  • Experience in online payment systems
  • SAFE knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge in Agile development methodologies and processes
  • Previous experience in an E-Commerce environment
  • BA/BS degree
  • Familiarity with digital media and gaming software and networking technologies, especially those related to Sony’s products, services, and devices
  • Japanese language skills helpful
