Account Director - Marketing Solutions

We are looking for an Account Director to join our team in achieving our goal of being the most effective place online for marketers to engage with professionals. You will be responsible for selling LinkedIn’s digital marketing solutions to the world’s most sophisticated marketers, helping them connect with our audience of success-driven professionals. Taking a data-driven led approach to sales, your role is to act as a trusted advisor to a range of clients in industries such as tech, finance and education. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will develop tailored presentations specific to the industry in which you work in order to help your clients achieve maximum ROI. You will also work closely with your dedicated account manager to ensure these well thought-out campaigns execute flawlessly.


  • Develop and execute a bi-annual Pursuit Plan for your industry in order to achieve quota
  • Present the value of marketing solutions to C-level executives working in fast-moving industries
  • Deliver a consultative sales approach for each client that answers their marketing objectives
  • Leverage our internal tools to define the best set of KPIs to report & track your activity
  • Attend relevant Marketing Solution product trainings, remain abreast of all upcoming product solutions and explore our various suite of products across LinkedIn in order to deliver a cohesive sales approach to your clients
  • Manage multi-layered and complex negotiations at C-Level leading to an always-on sales approach primarily targeted at the B2B sector
  • Successfully drive revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships and annual deals
  • Encourage and participate in best practice sharing that raises the bar amongst your peer-group built upon either prior industry or sales knowledge
  • Take on new initiatives to drive impact across the business incorporating leadership and leverage
  • Available to travel to local market (circa twice per quarter)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years sales experience in online or traditional media sales
  • Fluent written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Carried and hit quota of >$1.5M incorporating complex sales cycles in a competitive advertising marketplace
  • Experience with the utilisation of social selling techniques
  • Experience working in the tech sector and/or in a role making recommendations to marketers (ideally B2B)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
