Spring wants to change the way people shop and the way brands interact with customers. The company was founded in 2013 with the vision to build a digital alternative to traditional brick and mortar retailers: we’re the store that never closes, is available wherever you are in the world, and has impeccable customer service from when you first open the app, to when your purchase arrives at your front door. We’re not constrained by challenges that traditional online retailers face, so we’re delivering a shopping experience that puts our customers first.
Spring is a tech-first company. As such, our engineering organization provides the foundation on which our business is built. It leverages that platform to deliver great products to our suppliers and customers.
As Spring's DevOps Engineer, your will report to our Director of Infrastructure and be responsible for designing and supporting systems at scale while empowering our engineering team to create amazing products. We’re big believers in infrastructure as code and keeping things simple. One of our goals is to keep technical debt to a minimum and take careful approaches to bringing in new technology to make sure it fits within our platform and not just because it’s what all the cool kids are doing. Our biggest goals in the next year are to further improve our local development environment, optimize our costs, further streamline our deployment process, and improve our monitoring tools as we scale as a company. We’re currently looking into how AWS Lambda can fit into the next generation of our product catalog infrastructure.
