CMC Project Coordinator - Innovative Gene Therapies

The CMC Project coordinator exhibiting a “can do” approach will support the administration of project management best practices, including updating spreadsheets, Gantt timelines, status tracking, report preparation, as well as regularly maintaining and filing project records. Assigned work may also directly support planning and execution of projects to ensure specific stages of CMC activities commitments are met.

Responsible for organizing project specific information such that the documentation is easily retrievable, and files are accurate, complete and well organized.

  • Utilize project management tools and best practices to ensure consistent administration of project records and activities.
  • Support one or more project teams
  • Support the documentation and tracking of progress against project timelines, milestones and budgets
  • Co-ordinate and track status of cross-functional communication and integration activities associated with each project
  • Other activities as may be assigned
  • Applies department best practices to a variety of routine and moderately complex issues. Exercises good judgment in selecting techniques /practices to determine appropriate action.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.

Candidate must possess:

Some experience in the biotechnology or pharma industry within a CMC discipline

Familiarity with biological product development phases and regulatory requirements desired

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Power Point and Word, experience with MS Project desired
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary industrial environment
  • Prior experience in project management a plus

Education

A minimum BS in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry or an associated discipline
