Logistics Coordinator 

WAYFAIR, the largest online-only retailer of home furnishings and housewares in the United States, is looking for a motivated Lead Logistics Coordinator for their Westborough, MA Photo Studio. The right candidate will be solutions-driven with the ability to react to challenges with optimism and works well a part of a team.

A Day in the Life A Lead Logistics Coordinator ensures brand standards are upheld while maintaining an essential role in the operational success in the photo studio. You are a team leader that will work cross functionally between the creative and production teams.
Responsible for full-cycle of Studio sample management and internal logistics including, but not limited to: 

• Oversee a team of Logistics associates and coordinators while they perform day to day job functions
• Closely collaborate with Creative and Operational teams both internal and external
• Monitoring scheduling platforms to ensure that work is being assigned and delivered as quickly as possible to and from production
• Support our operations and creative teams in their efforts to meet deliverables  
• Provide feedback to relevant stakeholders regarding operational status
• Create and implement developmental exercises for team
• Provide direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for process change improvements
• Work closely with the Senior Production Logistics Manager to ensure the logistics team is meeting operational objectives
• Oversee inbound receiving and outbound processing
• Support the locating, picking, assembling and disassembling of sample products for photography
• Support the maintenance and organization of samples for production and having them ready to go to set when scheduled
• Acting as a go to support for on floor production and creative teams
• Timely address any exceptions that will impact overall production with appropriate stakeholders
• Understanding of inventory management system and database to effectively coordinate inventoried samples timely per scheduling and production.
• Ensuring product quality of Studio samples by coaching on properly handling samples, taking the necessary precautions for correct packaging, repackaging, and storage
• Collaborate with team of Logistics Coordinators Production Assistants to review timelines for scheduled shoots
• Maintain facilities and work areas in a safe and clean manner per OSHA regulation
• Perform other duties as assigned Keys to Success

Must Haves Requirements: 

• Experience in a high paced shipping and receiving environment
• Prior supervisory experience
• Ability to take accountability and ownership for results
• Effective time manager with good organizational skills
• Ability to think critically and initiate problem resolution
• Comfortable working with various applications and tools to complete daily objectives
• Forward thinking approach
• Ability to track details of multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfort with delivering on aggressive goals and timelines
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement as well as driving process improvements
• Ability to build positive partnerships with internal and external groups to optimize performance
• Strong leadership skills ability to build and engage teams
• Ability to multitask and operate independently with familiarity in working in diverse environments

Nice to Haves: 
• Certification or experience on a fork truck order picker
• Experience with DAM (Digital Asset Management) tools
• Previous experience working in an agency or commercial photography studio
• Tech savvy
