GoFundMe is looking for an experienced Account Executive for our CrowdRise platform and solution in our San Diego office. We are looking for a passionate, high-performing salesperson with experience selling technology products and/or services; SaaS experience is preferred. The ideal candidate has a history of exceeding sales quota, loves the thrill of the hunt, and is capable of building and growing a pipeline of business as a result of outbound prospecting and high activity metrics. They also have experience navigating through organizations, doing deep discovery, and selling to multiple decision makers.


  • Meet or exceed assigned quota and other related assigned metrics
  • Execute the entire sales process from lead to close
  • Respond and work inbound leads (MQLs) with a sense of urgency
  • Develop your own territory prospecting effort, generating and executing your own leads (SGLs)
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as your system of record, tracking all activities, leads and opportunities accurately and consistently
  • Maintain an “on-demand” forecast and review it weekly with your manager
  • Own the customer relationship from point of initial interest to initial purchase
  • Transition newly acquired customers to the Success teams with a consistent and thorough knowledge transfer to facilitate rapid and successful onboarding
  • Build great relationships with all your prospects
  • Establish yourself as an expert in the CrowdRise platform as an all-in-one social fundraising solution
  • Assist the Success teams with “at risk” renewals
  • Effectively communicate cross-functionally
  • Ensure that every sale brings substantial and recognized value to the customer’s stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in B2B quota-carrying sales
  • Track record of quota achievement (consistent over achievement is a plus)
  • Experience in software / SaaS / technology space. Nonprofit or giving industry is a plus
  • Collaborative working style, combined with a “take accountability” attitude
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with a focus on listening and understanding; can clearly demonstrate the power of questions
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic with a competitive edge
  • Creative problem solver who likes to think outside of the box
  • Maintain a positive attitude and apply coaching from training
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced yet fun environment
  • Actively seek opportunities for self development
