We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer, based out of our Los Angeles office, to join the Netflix Enterprise Network Engineering team. This team is responsible for the design, deployment and operations of the enterprise network at Netflix offices worldwide. As a Network Engineer on the team, you will help design, deploy, scale, enterprise networks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with heavy emphasis on automation. You will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the network. You will create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
Manage and maintain a global, multi-vendor, multi-protocol Enterprise network.
Develop tools and framework for automation of network deployment and operations.
Develop tooling for seamless configuration management and auditing of network devices.
Define, develop, and implement network monitoring and analysis tools
Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors for requirements gathering and problem resolution
Skills & Experience
A self-starter with at least 3 - 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer
Strong knowledge of networking technologies and experience in the application of IP protocols and configuration including but not limited to OSPF, BGP, and IPv4/v6.
Proficiency and hands on experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, Perl, C++
Experience with configuration management platform such as Chef, Ansible.
Experience with IPAM, CMDB, SNMP and Netflow etc.
Experience with API integrations and design.
Strong knowledge of and experience with major routing protocols like BGP and OSPF as well as firewall technologies.
Network analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in documentation as well as creating and maintaining SOPs, maintenance plans, network diagrams, platform and configuration standards, etc.
