Battery Test Engineer

Your Role:
As the Battery Test Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to assist in development, validation, and certification of FF’s HV battery system.  You will be responsible for test planning, test execution, and data analysis for various tests on the HV battery system.
 
Responsibilities:
·       Planning and running development and validation tests on the HV battery and its components
·       Specifying, building/ordering, and maintaining HV test equipment
·       Reviewing battery system requirements
·       Leading DRBTRs and writing test reports
 
Basic Qualifications:
·       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering program
·       3+ year’s experience with HV battery systems
·       Scripting experience (e.g. ROS, C/C++, MATLAB, VBA, python)
·       CAN communication familiarity/experience
·       Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with a keen eye in identifying technical issues
·       Strong organizational and planning capabilities
·       Passion for li-ion battery technology, electric vehicles, and automotive engineering
·       A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·       Familiarity with electrochemistry, fuel cell, or battery technology
·       CAN communication familiarity/experience
·       EV industry experience
·       Familiarity with automated test equipment and fixture design
·       CAD experience (CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)
·       A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
·       Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
·       A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
·       A genuine fascination for the electric mobility field and a commitment to global change
