Marketing Associate

At Wistia we believe that every person in every business will use video to communicate every day, for asynchronous as well as live communication. It will feel as fluid and natural as it does to text or call someone today.

This reality is still a ways off, but we're excited to help the world get there faster through simple and delightful video-focused products. As a Marketing Associate, you'll be an integral part of making this happen.

As a Marketing Associate, you will work as part of a lean, fast-paced innovative team to build awareness, generate demand, and drive adoption of Wistia's products. You will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution on a wide range of marketing initiatives, spanning the full customer lifecycle.

At Wistia, we take a creative and innovative approach to marketing. We're excited to try and learn from new ideas. As such, while we don't expect you'll walk in the door an expert in all marketing disciplines, we do expect that you will:

  • learn quickly
  • think creatively and critically
  • take ownership of your work and demonstrate initiative
  • work very collaboratively, both with other members of the marketing team and with other parts of the company — Product, Sales, Business Development, etc.

Working alongside stellar, creative marketers and charged with a lot of responsibility, you'll grow and develop quickly as a marketer.

Responsibilities

As a Marketing Associate, your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • generating content for email campaigns, social media, blog posts, product pages
  • tracking and measuring the impact of marketing efforts
  • developing and managing project plans for product launches and other marketing efforts
  • managing multiple streams of work.


Skills and experience:

The best candidates will have:

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Creative flair and great taste in design and aesthetics
  • Curiosity and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with creative software e.g. photoshop, final cut or illustrator.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and working with large datasets
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Some knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Confidence in communicating with developers, strategists, and creative people equally
  • Can read and report on Google Analytics
