About the role:

UX Research has been central to our product development and business strategy since the very beginning - and our UX Research team continues to grow, along with our user base and product.

We’re seeking a User Experience Researcher to join our growing team -- someone who can hit the ground running by testing products and prototypes, and who can help us gain a deeper understanding of users’ needs, motivations and behaviors.

You’ll conduct primary research and provide actionable feedback to the teams we partner with, including Design, Product Management, Data Science, and Engineering. You’ll own the end-to-end research process, identifying high priority questions and choosing the best methods to address them. You’ll communicate research findings proactively in compelling ways, amplifying the user’s voice and using it to drive product decisions as we work together to democratize access to the American financial system.

Some things we consider critical to being a UX Researcher:

  • B.A./B.S. in a related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, anthropology, sociology, computer science, or economics (M.A./M.S. degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of working experience as a User Experience Researcher
  • A deep knowledge of at least one of the following research activities, and familiarity with all of them:
    • Lab studies and remote moderated testing
    • Usability testing of products and prototypes
    • 1:1 interviews
    • Card sorting
    • Heuristic evaluations
    • Surveys
    • Literature reviews
    • Recruiting across user and non-user segments
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Most importantly, love and care for your craft
