About the Role

The Securities Processing Specialist will be responsible for daily processing of work associated with department.  This will include researching and resolving transfer issues with customers, custodial partners, and contra firms to obtain the best possible outcome.  Candidate will be responsible for managing risk, for meeting deadlines and service levels, and for compliance with Robinhood policies and industry regulations.   This is a unique opportunity in a newly developed area. Candidate will be responsible for helping to develop and design departmental processes and guidelines.

As a Securities Processing Associate you will:

  • Review and process ACAT account transfer in and out
  • Follow up and reconcile incoming asset transfers with DTC
  • Follow up and reconcile residual transfer in and out
  • Prioritize work to meet deadlines and proactively communicate the status of transfers
  • Manage day-to-day entries, adjustments, corrections directly in the brokerage platform
  • Manage and resolve escalated issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily work
  • Troubleshoot, manage and resolve processing issues
  • Develop and maintain department procedures and guidelines
  • Implement process improvements within department
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives impacting unit

Some things we consider critical to being a Securities Processing Associate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working in a financial services operational environment
  • Familiarity with stock brokerage functions
  • FINRA Series 7 license, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environment

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience in a brokerage operation back office
  • Prior experience as an ACAT Manager, Stock Record Analyst, or Corporate Action Analyst
