Emparty is hiring a

Product Manager

Mountain View, United States
Emparty, a seed-round startup located in Mountain View, is searching for an experienced (3+ years) Product Manager to help us define the next-generation of party and event planning tools.

Emparty is making the process of planning parties and events (birthdays, graduations, showers, office parties, etc.) easier, faster, and a lot more fun. Earlier this year we closed our initial round of funding from Upside Partnership and Webb Investment Network, and we have a long and growing list of customers lined up to use the service. (For real. We’re not kidding. The pressure is on.)

BTW - The web site hosted at emparty.com is v0.1, and it's just a WordPress site. Don't get too focused on it. The booking engine is in development and will be launching this summer.

In the PM role, you’ll define and launch new features for party and event organizers, vendors, and our internal teams. You’ll research product and feature requirements with current and potential customers, define new requirements, work with UI/UX designers to bring your vision to light, and work with the Engineering team to execute. After launch, you’ll track your product’s activity and make incremental improvements to improve the user experience and increase conversion rates.

As an early-stage startup, you’ll have an opportunity to help us select and implement product development life cycle processes that will become part of the company’s long-term culture.

This position reports to the Co-Founder and CPO, Kenny Pate, and will be our first full-time product manager.

Remote work is *not* an option for this position. (Sorry.) You must be able to work in our Mountain View, California, office. We're located near Highway 101 and San Antonio Road, a 2.5-mile bike ride from the San Antonio Caltrain station.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Requirements writing (user-centric agile stories)
  • UI/UX - initial wireframes only
  • User research
  • Project planning
  • Reporting and data analysis

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • Strong product management background, with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with UI/UX tools
  • Our products and features are mobile-web focused, so experience with mobile-friendly B2C sites is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of database data structures
  • Ability to “speak” sales, marketing, tech, legal, and design

At this time, Emparty is unable to provide relocation assistance or visa support. You must be able to work for any US employer to apply.
