We are currently hiring for a Marketing Research Manager who will reporting to the Head of Marketing (based in Shanghai), the candidate will proactively partner with Head of Marketing and senior functional leader to lead and manage brand / campaign tracking and consumer insight researches, anticipate and help identify marketing strategy, recommend strategic solutions, and support marketing campaigns. The candidate should exercise good business judgment, while performing these functions and working closely with our global marketing research teams and China product research team.

Roles & Responsibility

Data Driven Insight

  • Identify meaningful insights and communicate why they are relevant to our brand or business growth
  • Independently manages partnerships with external vendors from RFP to final output

Research Planning & Management

  • Hands on leader of of research projects planning and management with research agencies and our global research teams, for both quantitative and qualitative researches
  • Write research briefs, which requires being able to identify and clearly articulate the context and business / brand challenges

Cascade Knowledge

  • Express ideas and communicate a POV that resonates with different stakeholders
  • Uplevel the marketing orgs understanding of the brand and consumer though regular and proactive share outs
  • Brings deep industry knowledge, experience working across a variety of brands, knowledge of best practices and pitfalls
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills

Active Teamwork

  • Manage your time and relationships with the cross-functional teams and anticipate the needs of the team without manager supervision
  • A trusted partner to marketing managers, especially on inputs to marketing briefs

Strategic Clarity

  • Help aligns teams around an inspiring brief or research debrief and participate in shaping and evolving the core creative direction


  • Bachelor degree or above; over work experience highly preferred
  • Minimum 8 years market research experience in ​either agency side or client side ideally some within the Retail & FMCG industry
  • Combined experience and expertise in both qualitative and quantitative
  • Solid knowledge of a wide variety of research techniques and methodologies - and good business acumen at MNC's in China
  • Solid analytical skills, yet a creative thinker who can apply out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex/abstract problem
  • Able to multitask and juggle several ongoing projects
  • Willing to do hands-on works
  • Able to adapt changeable and fast developing environment in a start-up company
  • Strong communication skills and good Chinese and English reading and writing ability
