Security Vulnerability Management Program Lead
Because you belong at Twilio
The Who, What, Where and Why
Twilio is looking for an exceptional individual who is excited about solving some of the hardest problems we have: securing our platforms, systems, and people from nasty vulnerabilities that create significant risk to the company.
You like to think at scale and design solutions that fit seamlessly into existing process and add tremendous value when done right. You understand that security doesn’t just happen and you’re ready to work across many different teams to help instill good security hygiene throughout Twilio. You know business is about taking risks so security can’t stand in the way of progress, but you believe a good security partner will help the business understand those risks so it can make good decisions.
You will lead the day-to-day efforts of Twilio’s holistic vulnerability management program. You’ll be responsible for driving all teams across Twilio to resolve all known vulnerabilities within stated SLAs. You will manage the flow of new vulnerabilities into the pipeline and ensure they are properly prioritized and you’ll report on the progress of the teams on a regular basis. You’ll advise the Twilio leadership on the risk posed to the company by outstanding security vulnerabilities and drive solutions that decrease that risk over time. You will be the technical expert on our vulnerability scanning and management tools and work with our engineers to ensure that we have good asset management and platform security practices in place.
Twilio’s Trust and Security Team seeks to make Twilio the most trusted brand in communications. We build trust into every product we make and to maintain that trust requires constant vigilance.
We are a small team with significant opportunity for growth. We are committed to doing security well and sharing our knowledge and experiences for the greater good.
Twilio is a company committed to your growth, your learning, your development and your entire employee experience. We only win when our employees succeed and we're dedicated to helping you develop your strengths. We have a cultural foundation built on diversity, inclusion and innovation and we want you and your ideas to thrive at Twilio.
Ideally, this person will work in our beautiful office at 375 Beale Street in San Francisco, but we’re open. If you do choose to join us in the office, you will enjoy our incredible perks: catered meals, snacks, game room, ergonomic desks, massages, education / health credits, Wednesday Night dinners, bi-weekly All Hands and more. What you will also get to experience is a company that believes in small teams for maximum impact; that strives to balance work and home life, that understands that this is a marathon, not a sprint; that continuously and purposefully builds an inclusive culture where everyone is able to do and be the best version of themselves. We seek people who naturally demonstrate our values, who are challenged by problems, empower others to thrive, people who can draw the owl and not be beholden to one playbook.
