Executive and Program Assistant

Twilio is looking for an experienced Executive and Program Assistant to amplify Twilio’s positive impact in the world.  You will be the executive assistant to the VP of Social Impact, as well as lead projects as part of the team.  The ideal candidate has exceptional project management skills, experience making executives successful, and is driven to make the world a better place.

By being an essential member of the team, you will drive team outcomes that create positive impact in the world.  The person in this role requires superior organizational skills, keen attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to juggle multiple high priority requests, all while interfacing professionally with people inside and outside the company. A critical part of this role is to understand the team’s priorities and prioritize time and attention amid multiple competing initiatives.  


  • Complete a variety of everyday tasks under the direction of VP of Social Impact including, but not limited to, managing complex and busy calendars, booking travel, and being an overall deputy of time.
  • Lead social impact projects such as internal marketing campaigns, nonprofit appreciation programs, and engaging employees in volunteering.
  • Help the team be more effective by creating processes and systems to engage nonprofits better.
  • Oversee events, including submission of materials, schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings, conferences, and special events (onsite and offsite).
  • Anticipate and address needs of the VP of Social Impact and team.    
  • Work closely with members of our Executive Team and the Executive Business Partners.
  • Oversee budget, including preparing timely and accurate weekly expense reports.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in field.  Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 4+ years experience directly supporting senior level executives.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Interest and ability to learn about Twilio’s business and customers, and to learn new systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities to support the pace of an executive and the business.
  • Positive attitude and ability to be flexible.
  • Mac and Google Drive proficiency preferred, including Google Docs and Sheets, Google Calendar, Microsoft Word, Excel skills. Apple Keynote experience a plus.
  • Experience working with social impact organizations such as nonprofits a plus.
