Shopify’s goal is to make commerce better for everyone and a key part of that is growing internationally. We’re looking for an experienced Content Marketing and Localization Lead who will join our Content Marketing Team to help drive international growth and manage the translation and localization of Shopify’s marketing content in non-english languages.
You’ll be a strategic partner to other marketing and product teams and help maintain and scale our non-english content marketing initiatives.
You’re a seasoned localization professional with global marketing experience who can help us drive growth and merchant success by localizing our content marketing program with both translated and original content. You’ll arrive at Shopify with a collaborative spirit and you’ll make your mark by strengthening our existing international content efforts and improving how we attract and support merchants in non-english markets.
You'll need to have:
An obsession with understanding our international merchants and their world
3+ years marketing localization experience managing a translation and localization initiative, ideally in the tech / business space
Proven experience planning, executing and delivering on marketing localization programs and campaigns
The ability to explain linguistic challenges and cultural questions and concepts to diverse stakeholders across the organization
Experience crafting localized content marketing strategies that drive growth and broaden brand awareness
Experience managing a localization marketing team
The ability to manage projects, expectations, and your own time
You'll get to do things like:
Manage the end-to-end localization of Shopify content marketing program from strategic planning and budgeting, to measuring and reporting results
Influence and guide editorial programming for our non-english blogs, being accountable for audience growth and customer acquisition across international content channels
Develop and maintain key relationships with culturally and geographically diverse stakeholders
Lead our talented group of Content and Localization Managers to ensure all content is on brand in terms of style, quality and tone, while ensuring content is optimized for SEO to ensure performance is maximized
Monitor, measure and communicate progress and performance to stakeholders
Support integrated marketing and communications, managing a broad range of stakeholders
Collaborate with the local marketing team as well as regional field marketers to develop best practices around local content strategy, quality assurance and content management
