Marketing Automation Specialist

As a Marketing Automation Specialist,  your primary focus will be driving customer adoption to increase upsell, cross-sell and retention of the Shopify platform and Shopify-related products. You will help define relevant customer segments as well as develop and execute targeted campaigns based on customer lifecycle. You’ll be expected to work cross-functionally with our content, data, product and growth teams.

You'll need to:

  • Identify areas of the customer lifecycle where we can increase customer retention and adoption, while increasing overall customer LTV
  • Interpret customer data to identify triggers and behaviours that indicate potential life-cycle changes
  • Configure lead-nurturing campaigns using our marketing automation tools
  • Set up and execute tasks associated with customized landing pages, email campaigns and lead scoring rules
  • Identify and launch cross-channel marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition, activation and product penetration in current and emerging markets
  • Create cohorts of audience members needing re-engagement
  • Aid with the launch of cross-channel re-engagement marketing tactics to drive sessions, leads, and ultimately customers
  • Develop the strategy and execution for various re-engagement and winback campaigns
  • Be eager to get your hands dirty and dive deep into creating new tests, building segments and analyzing performance across multiple campaigns
  • Have experience in segmentation, lead nurturing and testing
  • Maintain a report on the effectiveness of campaigns and if they are meeting KPIs
  • Work closely with our Marketing Automation team and data leads to launch campaigns and perform A/B testing on all elements of lead nurturing (lists, email templates, landing pages, CTA's, offers, etc.) and continuously improve campaign effectiveness

It'd be great if you also had experience with:

  • Marketing automation software (preferably ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Push notification/SMS strategy and execution
  • Database management (segmentation, business intelligence reporting and maintenance, SQL)
  • Developing and editing content
  • Email design/best practices, web design and cross browser testing (HTML/CSS)
  • Email optimization & A/B testing
