Site Reliability Engineer / Devops

We are looking for a talented SRE / DevOps to join our world-class Site Reliability Engineering team. Our engineering team is an enthusiastic, passionate group who value learning and mentorship. We regularly run and participate in internal talks about new technologies, board game nights and hack sessions. The Job:
A Site Reliability Engineer at Fullscreen bridges the gap between development and operations in a way that ensures maximum uptime and performance for the various services deployed by our developers.

Our SRE team supports multiple development teams across a number of AWS accounts. Day-to-day activities involve everything from cloud provisioning and systems architecture to application deployment and disaster recovery planning.

Define the requirements and implementation of our infrastructure, taking into account the needs of the teams and services we're supporting. You should be ready to work with our developers to improve application build, deployment and performance.

Technical Environment:
We have a service oriented architecture with services. We develop private and open source tools written in Ruby, Javascript, Python and Go. Our applications run on Ubuntu in AWS and leverage numerous open source technologies like Postgres, Nginx and Redis. We strive to automate and monitor every aspect of our infrastructure so that we can proactively deal with potential issues.

  • 5+ years experience as a SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineer
  • Have experience programming with a systems friendly language (Ruby, Python, Go, Bash).
  • Be familiar with Amazon Web Services (e.g. IAM, EC2, S3, KMS, SQS, Cloudformation, VPC).
  • AWS and/or Linux certifications are highly desirable.
  • Be comfortable working with and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • Have experience with configuration management tooling (e.g. SaltStack, Ansible, Chef).
