DevOps Engineer

SIEA, LLC is seeking a highly-motivated DevOps engineer to join our online development team of creative problem-solvers.  You will be working closely with software engineers, hosting engineers, DBAs and producers to design and develop applications for a number of games.  This is an opportunity to participate in a fun, demanding, fast-paced environment for individuals who thrive on new challenges and are driven to provide the highest quality in software.

To be successful you should possess a strong understanding of software development and operational services. You will be tasked to help design, develop and maintain our modern deployment pipeline using multiple server development and hosting tools. Additionally, possessing a good working knowledge of security best-practices is nice-to-have.



  • Minimum of 5 years experience with automation / configuration management & build / deployment processes using either Puppet, Chef or Ansible
  • Successful deployment and operations of services in AWS cloud environments
  • Background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Strong grasp of automation tools
  • Exposure to scripting: Ruby, Perl or Python a plus
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery teams
  • Ability to architect software systems and integrate existing systems
  • Familiarity with git
  • Experience with unit/functional testing (both writing and setup)
  • Ability to use wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Highly-motivated, driven individual with strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Strong customer focused mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create documents and guides that describe complex tasks and processes in a way that is understandable to a generic audience
