Primary Responsibilities

  • Consult with hiring teams to ensure understanding of technology and requirements for each position
  • Fully comprehend Pivotal’s products, technologies, our mission and strategy and have the ability to represent our culture and our values when recruiting or representing the organization
  • Source through all possible methods including head hunting, tech talks, career/job fairs, data mining, meet-ups, resume databases, appropriate social media, networking, cold calling, warm calling, etc.
  • Provide a great candidate experience and act as a candidate advocate. Propose and drive continuous improvement effort and strategy.  Solicit feedback from hiring managers to improve selection process and quality of referred candidates
  • Drive candidate triage strategy, specific to each hiring team, i.e. interview structure, scoring & detailed reporting
  • Present and negotiate employment offers
  • Use available Applicant Tracking System to process candidates including detailed notes, approvals, offers, etc
  • Prepare and maintain tracking reports and updates as requested
  • Partner with management team to take ownership for and lead our recruitment strategy; provide and regularly present on plan, progress, KPIs and iterative improvements

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years Technical Recruiting experience, ideally with a software vendor background
  • Strong experience of hiring Software Engineers, Product Managers, Solution Architects
  • Proven direct sourcing/head hunting capability
  • Experience working with all disciplines and levels within a high-tech organization
  • Experience with excelling in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks
  • Proven and excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Knowledge and experience in a wide range of current recruiting policies, practices, and trends and the ability to grasp new technologies
  • Stakeholder Management
