Business Development Representative - B2B SaaS

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to work directly with our Account Executives in our downtown Austin Headquarters, alongside the founding team members.


Your role will be to seek out new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers, as well as qualifying leads and introducing prospects to our suite of technology products.


To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience qualifying leads and converting them into opportunities.

The ability to cultivate strong relationships with prospective customers and genuinely wanting to help them succeed is also very important.


And we prefer to promote within so you will have the opportunity to train as an Account Executive should you desire advancement in the future.


BDR responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Presenting our company to potential clients

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with daily use of CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Appreciation for the need for sales performance metrics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Ability to engage prospects in a friendly but professional manner
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and our Account Executives
  • Report to VP of Sales (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
